A notification in this regard was issued by the KP assembly secretariat
PESHAWAR:
The provincial government has summoned a session of the provincial assembly session on Thursday, October 11, to present the annual budget for the fiscal year 2018-19.
A notification in this regard was issued by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) assembly secretariat on Tuesday.
Earlier, the K-P caretaker government headed by Justice (retd) Dost Mohammad had approved an administrative four-month budget of Rs198.7 billion in June as the former K-P government led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) could not present the budget in its previous tenure after it lost its majority in the assembly.
Now, the incumbent government will pass a budget for the entire fiscal year.
Meanwhile, former K-P chief minister Akram Khan Durrani, of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) will become the leader of the opposition in the provincial assembly. The K-P assembly secretariat has issued the notification on Tuesday.
