Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday directed Federal Health Minister Aamir Mehmood Kiyani to visit the drought-stricken Tharparkar region to assess and ensure the provision of medical facilities to the people, Radio Pakistan reported.



The premier issued the orders while meeting the provincial chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Ameer Bhutto and provincial Secretary General Haleem Adil Sheikh.

PM Imran expressed concern over the situation and assured that his government would safeguard the rights of the people of Sindh.

He also expressed his confidence in the new president and secretary general of PTI's Sindh chapter and directed them to implement the party manifesto and policies.

PM Imran also asked them to organise the party at the union council level and to start preparations for the next local government elections.
