Malala Yousafzai's portrait revealed at London gallery

The 21-year-old's father, Ziauddin Yousafzai, took to Twitter to share the news

Nobel Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai’s father, Ziauddin Yousafzai on Monday took to Twitter to reveal that a portrait of Malala has been unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Ziauddin shared that the portrait of Malala by artist Shirin Nishat has a poem inscribed on it which is written by Pakhtun poet Rahmat Shah Sayel.

"Portrait of Malala by Shirin Nishat unveiled at NPG London. The poem inscribed on the portrait is written by the great Pushto poet Rahmat Shah Sayel," wrote Ziauddin.

Previously, Malala's numerous murals have been displayed globally. The latest one was unveiled in India for her contribution to girls' education. The 21-year-old is currently studying at Oxford University. She was shot by a Taliban gunman in 2012 while sitting in her school bus in Swat Valley.
