Pak Suzuki Motor Company, the auto conglomerate, recently came up with an innovative campaign to connect with its customers in Pakistan. The #MyStoryMySuzuki competition encouraged individuals to post their Suzuki memories of in the form of pictures, videos, poems on social media.

The company organized an award ceremony for the #MSMS Season 1 at Pearl Continental, Karachi on Sept 26, 2018. We saw several important figures from the senior management of the company including Mr. G. H. Agha (General Manager, Marketing) and Mr. Takumi Takahashi (General Manager, Motorcycles).

Mr. G. H. Agha remarked, “Through this competition we have seen the power of the digital medium, how it helps us connect with our loyal customer base and create an even stronger bond”. He mentioned that Pak Suzuki is always working towards providing “customer satisfaction” through innovation.

After months of sifting through moving stories of 218 contestants, Suzuki awarded motorcycles (1st Prize- GR-150, 2nd Prize- GS-150SE and 3rd Prize- GD-110S) to three deserving candidates.

As opposed to the other two winners who talked about their cars, Ali Ahmed-the first prize winner- takes us on a Pakistan tour on his dream bike, Suzuki GS 150 SE. His journey through majestic mountains, barren deserts and across precarious bridges motivated us for several reasons. It awakened us to not only the vast beauty of our country that we are oblivious to, but also to the power of humans to surmount the toughest of challenges through sheer determination.

Rizwan Ahmed Jutt, who bagged the second prize delineates how this contest motivated him to take out time from a hectic office routine to go tripping to the North. As a mobile app developer, he often has to put his passion for travelling on the back burner. As we see him driving through lush valleys of Naran Kaghan, we cannot help but admire the way he has maintained his Suzuki Mehran over the past two years. After hours of battling with slippery slopes and broken roads, he describes the overwhelming view he encountered when his car finally made it to the top.

In a society where the credibility of female drivers is questioned on every turn it was empowering to see Syeda Rubab Kazmi receive the third prize. Her poem about her family’s first car, Suzuki Mehran, reflects the father daughter connection built over years of family trips. It is endearing to see the manner in which the family has established a ritual of celebrating the car’s birthday; Rubab sees this as one more way in which this car has brought them together.

Do you also have a Suzuki journey that you are proud of? Did you miss your chance to tell us how a certain car or bike helped you power through the toughest time of your life and gave you the strength to pursue your dream? Well, you must be excited to know that Suzuki just announced the second season of #MSMS!

Engr.Amir Sultan Rana | 5 years ago | Reply A good initiative by Pak-Suzuki. Its our very well known brand and still keeping its pace with the market demands. Still in Pakistan, out of every 10 cars, at least 4-5 cars are of this make. With Suzuki, we should come with more brands too. Likewise Honda and Toyota is also produced here in Pakistan but quite few parts are imported. In this scenario, more parts should have been started making in Pakistan of Honda. Toyota and other cars. This will boast Pakistan's economy at large. From my point of view, we should start making of parts of the cars which are in demand all over the world. In this way, we will capture a bigger market and our exports will accelerate too. Best of luck Pakistan.
