Man arrested in murder case
Zarina Sheikh, 45, strangled her alcoholic son Arif at their Gandhidham house. Sheikh tried to pass off the murder as a suicide. An autopsy, however, revealed the truth.
Sheikh and her elder son Javed have been arrested for killing Arif. The woman claimed she was fed up with Arif's violent behaviour.
Arif had attacked cousin Salman Sumra with a rock on Wednesday. He had attacked relative too when they intervened.
Sheikh then asked her son and nephew to pin Arif down, straddled his chest and choked him with a dupatta.
The three then hung the deceased from the ceiling to present the incident as a case of suicide. Sheikh's brother-in-law phoned police after.

"Seeing the body and the legs touching the floor, we suspected something fishy. A postmortem revealed Arif had died of strangulation," police said.
Sheikh confessed on being questioned. Both, mother and son Javed have been nabbed. Sumra continues to abscond.
