Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Balochistan Information Secretary Babar Yousufzai has said construction of dams in Pakistan has become extremely necessary as the country is suffering from severe water shortage.

“If water scarcity is not addressed, in 10 years the underground water situation will become direly precarious,” said the PTI information secretary in a statement issued by the provincial secretariat on Thursday.

Yousufzai said, “The sincere thinking of the prime minister and chief justice about construction of dams and collecting funds for them is a solid and judicious step. Pakistan will tremendously benefit from the measure.”

He hailed the steps taken by the prime minister and the chief justice in this regard.
“A dams’ fund scheme will be launched in Balochistan very soon,” said Yousufzai. “Suggestions have been forwarded to the prime minister to end backwardness in Balochistan.”

He hoped that the prime minister would implement their suggestions for the betterment of Balochistan.
He said that very soon suggestions for resolving the problems of the journalists of Balochistan and newspapers would be forwarded to the federal information minister.
“Being the provincial spokesperson of my party, I will try my best to put the problems of the Balochistan print and electronic media in front of the leadership and work for their solution,” he said.
