Men in Blue register nine-wicket win in the Super-Four tie

Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma struck impressive centuries as India thrashed lackluster Pakistan by nine wickets in the Asia Cup 2018 Super-Four tie in Dubai on Sunday.

After opting to bat first, the Men in Green posted 237-7 in their allotted 50 overs, courtesy sublime 78 off 90 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes from veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik.

For India, pacer Jasprit Bumrah and wrist-spin duo of Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav claimed two wickets each.

In reply, India cruised to the target in the 40th over at the expense of one wicket. Opener Dhawan finished the innings with the top score of 114 off 100 balls with the help of 16 fours and two sixes, whereas captain Sharma scored unbeaten 111 off 119 balls with the help of seven fours and four sixes.
