Govt cannot afford to waste resources: CM Kamal

Tells departments to prioritise development work

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan on Tuesday said the provincial government had prioritised the development work as “it is the need of the people”.

The CM chaired a meeting to review the performance of the communications and development departments. He urged all the government departments to perform for providing relief to the people.

He said the province cannot afford delays in development projects and resources being wasted. Provincial Minister Nawabzada Tariq Magsi, Balochistan Chief Secretary Akther Nazeer, Finance
Secretary Qamar Masood and other government officials were present on the occasion.

The participants of the meeting agreed on forming a committee to finalise a policy to monitor development projects in the province and ensure their timely completion. The CM directed all deputy commissioners to obtain land certificates for connecting tehsils with national highways.

On the occasion, Secretary Communication and Planning Ali Akbar Baloch given a detailed briefing to the chief minister, regarding the quality of development projects in the province.

“From now on, each department will be responsible for providing all information regarding the development schemes within their domain as well as their timely completion,” CM Kamal added.
