QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court’s (BHC) Election Tribunal on Monday granted further time to all candidates to submit their answers in court during the next hearing.

During Monday’s hearing on the challenged election results of PB-31 and NA-265, Muhammad Riaz Advocate appeared on behalf of Haji Lashkari Raisani while elected MPA from PB-31 Nasrullah Zeeray appeared himself before the election tribunal.

Bhootani’s victory taken to election tribunal

Both parties urged the election tribunal to grant further time to submit answers in the court.

Acting on their appeal, the court granted time to all candidates and adjourned the hearing till October 24.

Hearing a separate petition on NA-265, the court issued notices to all candidates, ordering them to appear before the court in next hearing.
Balochistan National Party-Mengal senior leader and election candidate Raisani had challenged the general elections’ results of PB-31 on the ground that the suicide attack on a polling station disturbed the polling process and the election process was halted for hours due to security reasons.
