DC Magsi orders PHE to ensure clean water supply

Expresses concern over dilapidated condition of water supply system

Naseerabad Deputy Commissioner Qurban Ali Magsi has ordered the Public Health Engineering Department to make immediate arrangements for the provision of clean water to the people of the area.

The deputy commissioner issued the instructions on Sunday while conducting a sudden survey of the ponds storing drinking water, filter plants’ points and main pipelines. He was accompanied by Naseerabad PHE’s Abdul Aziz Lehri and Sub Engineer Javaid Gashkori.

Both the officials gave the deputy commissioner a tour of the water supply system.

Magsi expressed grave concern over the dilapidated condition of ponds used for storing water, filter plants points and main pipelines.
He said, “Provision of clean drinking water is the main priority of the government. The people of Dera Bugti are facing this major problem.

Complaints are received every day. The dilapidated water supply system is in front of the PHE, which is responsible for making it better.

“There is no cleanliness in the water storage ponds and filter plants pond, while the water supply pipelines are broken at various places due to which the dirty water being consumed by the people is giving birth to many stomach diseases, especially hepatitis.”

He issued instructions to the PHE to make immediate arrangements for the provision of clean water to the people.

Citizens appreciated the step of the deputy commissioner and thanked him for paying special attention to their water problem.
