A final list of candidates, contesting by-polls scheduled to be held on October 14, will be issued on Sunday along with the allotted symbols, Radio Pakistan reported.

By-elections will be held on 11 National Assembly and 26 provincial assemblies' seats, which are currently vacant.

The seats remain unrepresented courtesy voting not taking place during the July 25 general elections or as a result of successful candidates having vacated their seats.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has also extended the deadline for overseas Pakistanis to register online for the by-polls till Monday, September 17.
