Says crackdown on sale of fake drugs to begin from Hub

QUETTA: Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan on Saturday said effective measures were being taken to turn Balochistan into a developed province.

Speaking to the tribal elders and residents of his native town Hub, Kamal said, “Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) is party of martyrs … we lost hundreds of our workers, including Nawabzada Siraj Raisani. If we don’t deliver, it would be a betrayal with the people of the province.”

The CM said that his government was focusing on the development and prosperity of the province. He added that raising education and health standards and improving infrastructure in the province were his government’s top priorities.

Kamal said his govern
ment had decided to take action against fake doctors and medical stores involved in the sale of counterfeit medicines. He added that the crackdown would start from Hub.

He said the government had directed the irrigation department to take strict action against the elements involved in stealing water from Hub dam. He pledged strict action against those involved in the act.

The CM said the provincial government had been utilising all available resources to strengthen the capacity of Balochistan police, which would help restore law and order.
