Development projects: Civil administration to brief govt lawmakers

Civil administration will also brief the treasury lawmakers about the annual development programmes of all departments

RAWALPINDI: The district management has invited national and provincial assembly members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday to brief them about the development projects, particularly the ones that had been abandoned by the past regime, official sources said.

The civil administration will also brief the treasury lawmakers about the annual development programmes of all departments of the Punjab government, sources told Daily Express.

According to sources opposition MNA Raja Parvez Ashraf and Rawalpindi Mayor Sardar Naseem Khan have not been invited in the meeting. While former federal interior minister Chaundry Nisar Ali Khan who won a seat of Punjab Assembly has left the country after not taking oath. Briefing will be held in the Committee Room of the Deputy Commissioner Office on September 15 at 2 pm.

Deputy Commissioner Umar Jahangir has invited federal ministers, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Amir Mehmood Kiyani, provincial ministers Muhammad Basharat Raja, Fayazul Hasan Chauhan, Raja Rashid Hafeez, national assembly member Sadaqat Abbasi, provincial assembly members Muhammad Latasab Satti, Raja Sagheer Ahmed, Javed Kausar, Chaudhry Sajid Mehmood,Chaudhry Muhammad Adnan, Wasiq Qayyum Abbasi, Umar Tanveer Butt, Aijaz Khan Jazi, Ammar Siddique Khan, Taimor Masood, Amjad Mehmood Chaudhry.

Top officials of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Water and Sewerage Authority (Wasa), Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA), district health and education departments, Rawalpindi and Chaklala Cantonments Board and city police have also been invited in the meeting.
