KECH, TURBAT: According to reports, extremist mobs are killing Muslims in India because they slaughter, sell and eat beef, whereas the majority of people in that country consider the cow holy.
As beef is cheap in India, Muslims and other minority communities are sometimes forced to eat as they cannot afford other kinds of expensive meat. In such a case, if extremists are not willing to allow Indian Muslims and other people to eat beef, they must ensure the well-being of their people and provide other affordable food alternatives to them, so that their families can get the required amount of protein. Respecting one’s faith is understandable but all citizens’ well-being should also be taken care of.
