Crime Investigation: Forensics Society formed at GCU

A Forensics Society has been formed at GCU and the university is offering an MSc and MPhil in forensics.

LAHORE: Government College University (GCU) plans to work with law enforcement agencies on forensic laboratory services.

A Forensics Society has been formed at GCU and the university is offering an MSc and MPhil in forensics.

Students are to be trained in investigating evidence and would also provide a helping hand to several government departments.

Students would work on examining poisons, drugs and explosives.

The Forensics Society would be working under the Chemistry Department.

Students would be taught by professionals from the Anti Narcotics Department, the Federal Investigation Agency, the Police Department and the Forensics Agency.

So far 40 students have enrolled in the masters’ programme.
