Across the province: Health department declares emergency at hospitals
"Despite availability of all required facilities, essential medical treatment is almost non-existent. The administration has made government efforts fall flat on their face," said the MPAs, comparing the hospital with a garbage dump due to the lack of cleanliness and questioned how proper health services can be offered at such a place.
They said they will raise the issue of inefficiency with the provincial government that aims to serve the people of Tharparkar district, which has been declared calamity-hit. "We won't leave the people of Thar at the mercy of incapable bureaucrats," vowed Soomro, "and we won't spare the officials who are responsible for wasting the efforts of Sindh government to provide better health facilities to the people of Thar."

He further pointed out that people usually migrate for two reasons; due to the harvest season temporary employment and due to drought, he said adding that the current migration is because of the latter.
Soomro and Bilalani assured that the relief work announced by the provincial government will start within three days. The government will provide subsidized wheat bags of 50 kilograms to each family.
