Failing government schools

Letter September 14, 2018
Proper education is not being imparted in government schools in the province of Balochistan

TURBAT: Proper education is not being imparted in government schools in the province of Balochistan. This issue mainly occurs as many teachers choose to remain absent while others take classes according to their own convenience.

So in spite of many children getting enrolled in schools and attending classes the majority of them remain near-illiterate. The government education system in the province only cares about the number of students they have to show at the end of every year. The quality of education doesn’t matter to them.

However, the people of Balochistan, especially the upcoming generation, is suffering on account of this attitude. The Balochistan government should be concerned about the issue and bring about necessary reforms in its education system.
