RAWALPINDI: Irrespective of the child’s desires, parents in Pakistan force their children in only two fields — medical or engineering. On top of that the employment situation in our country is even graver.
Nearly half a million people graduate every year in Pakistan, with no assurance of a well-paid job. When this young and bright individual — who themselves are a victim and carries the burden of his/her parent’s dream — does not get a job, he/she often questions the benefit of all this rigorous educational exercise of the last 16 years. This often leaves one sad and depressed.
Parents are solely to blame for their children’s sadness in this context.
Parents as well as children must think and choose an academic field carefully, as the right decision will make life blissful. More importantly, the right choice will save the masses from running after ‘jobs’ one does not want to have.
