Chief Justice of Pakistan has decided to employ two transgender people at the Supreme Court
KARACHI: Recently, the Chief Justice of Pakistan has decided to employ two transgender people at the Supreme Court. The decision was made to mainstream the community while hearing cases that are directly related to them.
This is perhaps one of the best decisions taken by the CJP. The transgender community is one of the most marginalised communities in the country. Their right to even live is often violated as their increasing killings show. They are pushed to the brink of existence by the very people they call family.
This badly wronged community needs justice and rectification of their grievances. They should be treated like any other human being.
Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has taken a significant step towards the betterment of the community and he should be supported by the entire country.
