Hundreds of pilgrims have filed complaints that national and international airlines conducting post-Hajj operations have apparently left the luggage of passengers behind in Saudi Arabia.
“This creates problems for us since passengers do not know if the luggage was ever loaded onto the plane and when it lands, this is the moment they learn that their luggage never travelled with them,” a senior CAA official said, adding, “This is when passengers start creating law and order situation at the facility (airport).”
“We have discussed that this is enough and from now onwards if any airline, fails to bring luggage, will have to face action,” the official informed.
Moreover, the CAA appointed Obaidur Rehman Abbasi as the new manager of BKIA.
