Directs administration to take strict legal action against people involved

LAHORE:
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Sunday took notice of the beating of a student of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan and has sought a report from CPO Multan in this regard.

Meanwhile, five persons of a family, including four females, fell unconscious after taking lizard-contaminated tea on Sunday.


Student lied about harassment, says Sindh health minister

According to Nishtar Hospital sources, five persons of a family named Ameer Sultan, 17, son of Umar Daraz, Hassena, 45, wife of Nazir, Sidra, daughter of Umar Daraz, Iqra, daughter of Umar Daraz, and Begum Mai, wife of Umar Daraz, , took lizard-contaminated tea and fell unconscious. They were shifted to Nishtar Hospital for treatment. The family lives in Satwan Mill Muzaffarabad.

However, sources said that the patients were recovering. Muzaffarabad police were investigating the incident.
