Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has resigned from his post of Advisor to chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Akhtar — who was appointed by Najam Sethi during his reign as PCB chairman — announced the development on his official Twitter account on Thursday.

The 43-year-old said in his tweet that he ‘can no longer continue in his role as he considered it ethically wrong to continue working due to change in PCB’s governance’.
