The nation is celebrating its 53rd Defence Day on Thursday to pay tribute to the martyrs and ghazis of the 1965 war.

On September 6, 1965, Indian forces launched a surprise attack on Pakistan and crossed the border international border under the cover of darkness.

Among other famous personalities and politicians, many celebs came forward to salute the army. Hamza Ali Abbasi took to Twitter to write a heartfelt message for martyrs. He wrote, "We Love Pakistan. Salute to our martyrs. Love for Pakistan isn't just love for a piece of land but is love for the manifesto which says Pakistan ka matlab kiya? (What's the meaning of Pakistan?) La Ilaaha Ilallah. Salute to the martyrs who rendered their lives for the manifesto."

Faysal Quraishi shared a video on his Twitter account.
