Balochistan faces the worst economic conditions among the four provinces of Pakistan

TURBAT: Balochistan faces the worst economic conditions among the four provinces of Pakistan. Almost more than 70% of the economy is based on agriculture, for which water is a necessity. But rainfall all across Balochistan has reduced over the past few years. The agriculture sector of the province has been badly affected due to the gradual decline in rainfall.

On the other hand, though we are blessed with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, Reko Diq other mines hugely full of minerals and copper factories, most of the workers in these organisations are from other provinces. We do have more qualified workers in the province but they are being neglected. As a result, our economic progress is low, and thus our living standards.

The newly-elected Chief Minister of Balochistan, Jam Kamal, should introduce reforms in the province in order to accelerate the pace of economic development in the province.
