KARACHI: Negativity, criticism and bullying have sadly become part of every profession and society. Upcoming model Anam Naveed Tanoli took her own life on Saturday, September 1. The 26-year-old is said to have committed suicide at her residence in Lahore’s Defence area. According to her friends, she committed suicide as she was suffering from depression and was not dealing well with social media bullies. Earlier, she had also posted a video in which she addressed the issue of bullying.

She was affected by social media trolls and bullies at work, and was looked down upon by people for her profession. She was suffering alone.

It is unfortunate that people who bully never think what the other person, who they are bullying, would go through. Little do they realise that a single insult can change someone’s life forever.

Depression is real. It’s time we realised that and reach out to people who are suffering. Let them know that they are not alone. It only takes kindness to be nice to people and much more effort to be mean, so why don’t we chose the noble way of being kind!
