Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone made her Hollywood debut with xXx: The Return of Xander Cage opposite The Fast and the Furious star Vin Diesel last year. She received much appreciation for her role and is now known for more than her Bollywood career.

The Piku star has previously shared snippets of her close friendship with Diesel and even went as far as saying on The Ellen Show that, in her head, she thinks the two will have cute babies.

Well, it seems like the pair will be spending more time together on the sets of the upcoming installment of xXx as Director DJ Caruso announces Padukone's involvement in the film. After he welcomed Chinese singer Roy Wang to the xXx family on Twitter, he confirmed Deepika's part too, in response to a fan. “What about @deepikapadukone . will she be the part of the film?”, the fan questioned. “Yes”, replied Caruso.

The film is set to release in January 2019. However, shooting is not to commence any time soon as the film-maker is yet to decide her shooting schedule. Replying to a fan query about the Bajirao Mastani star's schedule for xXx, he tweeted, “Working it out now, script being scheduled”.

Another reason filming can't begin just yet is because Padukone is reportedly busy planning her wedding to fellow Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, which is due to occur on November 20.

DJ Caruso has previously shared that he is looking into the possibility of having a full-blown Bollywood dance number in the xXx sequel which, of course, would be led by Deepika.

We'll just have to wait and see what's in store for us.
