Street power: JI plans to hold Karachi sit-in
JI Secretary General Liaquat Baloch told The Express Tribune that his party will hold a two-day sit-in at MA Jinnah Road in Karachi. “Our party has always taken a strong stance on issues of national interest. The Karachi sit-in will convey a clear message to the government from the people that the attack on the naval base is a matter of great concern since such incidents raise questions about the security of our nuclear assets,” said Baloch.
The Karachi administration has been informed about the two-day protest starting on June 4 against drone attacks, power outages, price hike, deteriorating law and order and issues of national security, a party member told The Express Tribune.
