Integrity: Honest porters return cash, gold

ISLAMABAD: Two honest porters of Islamabad airport returned a woman’s purse which contained foreign currency, gold ornaments and a cell phone.

Zubair Khan and Azhar Kamal of Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Benazir Bhutto International Airport were on duty on Monday around 7am when passengers started arriving from Manchester on PK-791, according to a press release by CAA.

The two porters found an unattended woman’s purse under a seat in the international arrival’s lounge. They immediately informed the Duty Terminal Manager CAA Tahir Rahman and opened the bag in his presence.

It contained a Pakistani passport belonging to Zakia Khan, 1100 pounds sterling, gold ornament of 10 tolas and a Samsung mobile phone. The duty manager handed over all the items to the owner. The passenger appreciated the efforts and honesty of the two porters.
