Graduate conference: Academic research may solve social, economic problems

ISLAMABAD: The second National Graduate Conference held on Tuesday at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) underlined the need of promoting academic research that helps solve society’s socio-economic problems.

Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui highlighted the need for academic research for addressing societal issues.

The participants of the conference included students and researchers from 28 educational institutions of the country. The conference laid special focus on promoting community based quality research. The key-note speakers included Pakistan Institute of Development Economic (PIDE) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asad Zaman and Lahore GCU Dr Akhyar Farrukh.

The conference provided a platform to the participants to showcase and share their research-based work.
