Clean Eid

On this Eid, the removal of animal waste from roads and streets of different cities was quicker and much better

LAHORE: On this Eid, the removal of animal waste from roads and streets of different cities was quicker and much better. It didn’t take long before tonnes of waste was removed within hours, even in areas that have previously witnessed offal left unattended for days. And for this, we should thank the authorities concerned.

Had they not acted efficiently, the awful smell of the offal would have made it difficult for us to breathe, and on top of that the downpour on Eid would have made the situation 10 times worse.

The same efficiency should, however, be seen in organisations responsible for cleaning the waste bins placed on streets’ corners. The incompetence of these organisations only kills the purpose of these bins being placed. For a cleaner Pakistan, everyone should work efficiently.
