The government had imposed a ban on collecting hides for defunct organisations, seminaries and non-government organisations involved in terrorist activities.

The government only issued NOCs for collecting hides to those organisations not found to be involved in suspicious activities.

The local administration formed teams which conducted raids in various parts of Faisalabad and caught 15 individuals red-handed. The people were collecting hides without the permission of the government. Police seized hundreds of hides found in their possession.
