GUJRANWALA:
A 65-year-old man died after a quack administered the incorrect medication at a medical facility in Ludhianwala Warraich in Gujranwala district on Saturday.

A police official told Express News that Bushra Bibi, a resident of Makhan Shah area, brought her 65-year-old husband Manzoor Ahmed to a self-proclaimed health practitioner Aijaz for treatment. “After examining the man, the quack administered four injections to Manzoor that proved to be fatal,” he added.
The victim’s wife told the police that her husband was suffering from pain, which prompted her to take him to a nearby clinic. “My husband died within a few minutes of being administered the injections,” she said. She added, “My husband started vomiting blood; the injections damaged his lungs,” she maintained.
However, after the incident, the accused Aijaz fled from the clinic. Meanwhile, police said that investigations into the matter were underway and teams had been dispatched to arrest the accused.
Earlier, an eight-year-old boy died after being administered the incorrect medication by a quack in Dera Ghazi Khan.
Alleged medical malpractice claims woman’s life in Lahore
Police said Muhammad Shehzad, 8, was suffering from fever and his father Ghulam Abbas, a resident of Jhok Utra, took him to a nearby clinic of self-proclaimed doctor Ismaeel. The accused administered two injections to the boy after which he became unconscious. When the boy fell unconscious, his father took him to another doctor in Kot Chatta where the doctors pronounced the child dead.
