Sindh police to enjoy greater perks

Sindh Inspector General Police (IGP) Amjad Javed Saleemi has decided to bring Sindh police's facilities on a par with the perks enjoyed by their counterparts in Punjab.

A meeting held at Central Police Office Karachi regarding police benevolent welfare fund board, decided that full scholarships will be given to the police personnel's children scoring above 65 %. For children's marriages, the grant has been increased from Rs10,000 to Rs50,000 and a family can get up to Rs100,000 under this. The retirement allowance was also increased from Rs15,000 to Rs25,000, while medical fund was increased from Rs10,000 to Rs1million in case of illness. The widow fund, which would be issued online, was also increased from Rs3,000 to Rs5,000.

If police personnel face legal issues during the course of duty, a grant of Rs500,000 would be given to them as assistance. Special motorcycles will also be given to the cops who get physical disability while performing their duties. PPI
