LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department has asked schools to prepare for dengue season during Eid holidays, while also instructing them to ensure preventative measures in schools across the province.

In this regard, a letter was sent to all the chief executive officers (CEOs) of the district education authorities (DEAs) across the province.

“The competent authority has desired that anti-dengue activities, particularly cleanliness and the removal of stagnant water, should be carried out during the Eid holidays, as per the standard operating procedures,” the letter read.

The letter further directed that the instructions be conveyed to the staff. In addition to this, SED demanded that daily progress be forwarded to the department via pictures.

You are requested to ensure the dissemination of the directions at all levels and send activity based snaps or e-mails during the holidays daily, the letter added.
