Twelve others were also injured in the crash. Police said the vehicle was on its way to Topi tehsil when the driver lost control at Bator Village.
The Pakistani-born Portuguese was identified as Ikram Ullah. Ikram was visiting his native town after 22 years to celebrate Eid with family. Another passenger who was killed in the crash was a school teacher Mohammad Ali. The third dead body is still unidentified.
Unskilled driver: Five killed as van plunges into ravine
The injured, including women and children, have been shifted to district hospital Swabi.
Earlier this month, at least five people were killed, including the driver of the vehicle, when a van skidded off the road and plunged hundreds of feet into a deep ditch near the Lari village near Abbottabad.
