KARACHI : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s senior leader Naeemul Haq was appointed as the prime minister’s special assistant for political affairs on Monday.
Haq, in a tweet, thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for his appointment and said the “challenging assignment can only be fulfilled through hard work and dedication”.
The senior PTI leader is one of the founding leaders of the party and was the former president of PTI’s Sindh chapter information secretary. Currently, Haq serves as the chief of staff and spokesperson to the PTI chairman.
Yesterday, PM Khan nominated ex-International Cricket Council (ICC) president Ehsan Mani as the new chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The PM further said, “We will follow the set procedure which entails my nominating him on the PCB board of governors. He may then contest elections for the position of Chairman PCB.”
