Recent terrorism in Kabul

Such planned attacks, carried out by the enemies of Islam, are in fact aimed to sow hatred between Muslims

SHIKARPUR: Afghanistan has, unfortunately, been under the vicious cycle of lethal terrorism since the American attack on the country post 9/11. It has experienced several major terrorist attacks but the recent suicide bombing inside a school in Dashte Barchi, Kabul, is all deeply shocking. The horrifying attack, which claimed 48 lives, puts a big question mark on the collective solution that the parties involved in the Afghan imbroglio claim to have found for one of the longest wars in history.

The pain of those who have lost their near and dear ones has been rightly, though very painfully, described by Dawlat Hossain, the father of 18-year-old student Fareeba, who heard the blast and ran to the centre only to find all students lying dead in blood, including his own daughter.

Jawad Ghawari, a member of the city’s Shiite clerical council, has blamed the attack on the IS. He claimed that in the past two years, there were at least 13 attacks on the Shiite community in Kabul alone.

But such planned attacks, carried out by the enemies of Islam, are in fact aimed to sow hatred between Muslims. Thus, all Muslim countries must join hands together and make serious efforts against such monsters who want to destroy peace and brotherhood.
