Imran Khan will take oath as Pakistan’s next prime minister on August 18
HYDERABAD: Imran Khan will take oath as Pakistan’s next prime minister on August 18. But Imran’s Naya Pakistan claim seems like an old wine served in a new bottle. He is announcing bizarre things, which are neither practical nor viable.
In his victory speech, he made some announcements and one of them was that he wouldn’t be staying in the PM House. But if we see it in legal terms and from a practical point of view then he has to live in the PM house, owing to security reasons. He can cut his finance rather than live outside of the Red Zone. Secondly, he pledged that he will lead a simple life in Naya Pakistan. But such decisions seem unrealistic. How can he live with austerity when his team will enjoy the corridors of power? His Naya Pakistan is a utopian idea which is distant from reality.
