Hania Aamir snaps male passenger on flight, sparks harassment claims
Celebrities are not immune to sexual harassment. Many big guns such as Salma Hayek, Lena Headey and Angelina Jolie amongst many others have called out Harvey Weinstein of rape and sexual misconduct. Likewise, Meesha Shafi also accused famed singer Ali Zafar of harassment on multiple occasions. Now, Hania who is known for film Janaan has come clean about her recent experience.

The budding actor tweeted that just because celebrities are public figures, it does not allow them to become public property - adding that she was sexually harassed by male fans at one of the promotional events for her upcoming film, Parwaaz Hai Junoon.

Hania also questioned how some people can claim to to be fans if they cause discomfort and embarrassment, leaving the victims traumatised.

She explained, "We step out of our comfort zone to be with our fans but acts like these force us to reconsider and doubt our decision to go out in the public."
Nothing justifies the objectification and harassment of any other individual.

The 21-year-old actor added that nothing can justify the objectification and harassment of an individual.
It is because of such individuals that women are scared to step out of their homes, not work and live their lives in fear. Respect all women as you'd expect the women of your own households to be respected. (4/ 5)

The Parwaaz Hai Junoon star also requested for people to respect women. In conclusion, Hania stated that if people ever find her verbally abusing someone else publicly, it will be while she's "putting a disgusting man in his place".
