Against drone attacks: PTI to block NATO supply lines ‘permanently’

Imran’s Tigers also resurrected after six years.

KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to block the supply lines of Nato forces, said a party official at a news conference on Saturday.

“Party activists are ready for the action and Khan saheb [Imran Khan] will announce when we will block the supply line,” said PTI Karachi president Ashraf Qureshi.

He clarified that they would not take any action that would harm the economy but “we will block the supply line peacefully”. Qureshi said that, “our party leadership has decided to block NATO supplies permanently and party workers in every city are ready”. The PTI will also stage a sit-in against drone attacks in Multan soon.

PTI’s sister organisation, Imran Tigers, has been revived. The organisation was closed due to some management problems six years ago but it will start working now in the city. Qureshi appreciated the support given to the party by other organisations who participated in the sit-in and made it a success.

PTI Karachi office bearers Naeem Sheikh, Sultan Ahmed, Anwer Shah, Taufiq Ali Hoti and Dawa Khan Sabir were also present.
