Pakistan Navy rescues fishermen onboard sunken vessel

Successful operation was carried out when the boat drowned due to technical fault

Pakistan Navy successfully saved lives of sailors onboard the fishing vessel "Muhammad Shah Bukhari", which drowned off the Karachi harbour on Saturday.

The successful operation was carried out when the boat drowned because of technical fault as soon as it entered in the harbour.



Pakistan Navy launched the search and rescue operation as soon as the information was received about the incident.

The staff of the Pakistan Navy harbour patrolling boats, with the help of other boats, was successful in rescuing the drowning fishermen.

Pakistan Navy’s harbour patrolling boats remain available and alert 24 hours to deal with any incident that takes place and for the safety of the harbour.



Pakistan Navy remains on full-time alert to ensure the safe maritime environment in the region as well as in the Indian Ocean.
