Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday nominated Murad Ali Shah as the chief minister and Agha Siraj Durrani as the speaker of Sindh Assembly, reported Express News.

Rehana Leghari's name was finalised as the deputy speaker. The announcement was made during a PPP parliamentary board meeting. Shah will be sworn in as the chief minister on August 18.

Sindh govt notifies Hindu marriage law

Incumbent speaker Durrani is currently the acting governor of Sindh after Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mohammad Zubair resigned.

Leghari was elected on the reserved seat for women on a PPP ticket and is a lawyer by profession.
