A CM alone won’t do

Letter August 10, 2018
The PTI aims to appoint someone as the CM of the largest province of the country who has a ‘clean’ past record

LAHORE: The past few days of political tussle between the top winning parties of the country over gaining majority in Punjab quite explains the reasons of the struggle for the highly-coveted post of Chief Minister of Punjab. With that, more than a few names for the same post have come forward by the PTI’s leadership who took the lead in the province after days of wrangling against the PML-N.

The PTI and its chairman aim to appoint someone as the CM of the largest province of the country who has a ‘clean’ past record. However, a CM with such record alone will not serve the purpose. The PTI can only maintain a good governance record if all other provinces, except for the one where it will form opposition are governed along the same lines.
