Saudi Arabia on Wednesday executed and then reportedly 'crucified' a murder convict belonging to Myanmar .

The state-run Saudi press agency reported on the execution, saying it was carried out in Makkah.

It said Elias Abulkalaam Jamaleddeen entered a Myanmar woman’s home firing a gun and then stabbed her to death. He was convicted of robbing her home and another home, attempted rape, and stealing firearms and ammunition.

Four Pakistanis beheaded in Saudi Arabia for rape, murder

The report said his conviction was upheld by the courts and his execution was endorsed by King Salman.

Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s top executioners, though crucifixions — in which the condemned is usually beheaded and then the body put on display — are rare.

arlo | 5 years ago | Reply Execution is usually done the open yard of Death Block of Prison at Night Time with only Medical Examiner and Senior Police Officers present. If body is not claimed, it is buried within jail yard. Why Saudi Arabia and other Arab Countries are take the sadistic pleasure by such carnival in brutality by beheading open public place and "Crucify" the dead body by hanging it in public square for 3 days ?. Perhaps their ancient Tribal Pagan culture is still in their blood..
