Ahad Raza Mir responds to relationship rumours with Sajal Aly

'I've met Sajal at a really good time in my life,' the 24-year-old actor remarked

Move over, Fawad and Mahira! There's a new on-screen it couple that we can't stop gushing about: Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir.

One of the finest pairings to have risen from Pakistani television recently, the up and coming duo became everyone's favourites as Asfi and Zubia in the blockbuster drama Yaqeen Ka Safar. Now, Sajal and Ahad are all set to share screen space again in star-studded period  drama Aangan.

The actors won big at the Hum Awards in Toronto last week and even posted affectionate tributes to each other. And it's not just Sajal and Ahad who are close but it seems like their respective families are also quite fond of the other. Fans of the alleged couple have had their fingers cross, hoping the two will confirm their rumoured relationship soon.

However, in a recent interview with BBC Asian Network, Ahad addressed the speculation. "I've met Sajal at a really good time in my life. She knows me for who I am, which I think is a beautiful thing. I've loved working with her. Apart from that, she's a very special individual," the 24-year-old said.

Talking about how their families are each other's biggest fans, Ahad laughed and said, "I think we're both huge supporters of each other. My family is a big supporter of her. We love her, we love her work. She's a fantastic person."

So are they dating? Or even planning to get exclusive in near future? "I don't know, maybe time will tell," Ahad teased.

Speaking about his work equation with Sajal, the Parwaaz Hai Junoon actor commented, "I think the best part of working together is that we work the same way. We approach things the same way. We see our work the same way, so maybe that's why people enjoy our chemistry so much."

This very well could be the reason every other director is trying to sign the dynamic duo. Will people ever get tired of seeing Ahad and Sajal together?

"I'm not scared of it (the onscreen pairing) getting exhausted, but I do fear of people capitalising on it," Ahad remarked. "But here's the thing: you might get Ahad and Sajal in a drama together but you'll get us at a very different angle. You're not getting the same thing. So, I think with Aangan, if people are expecting Yakeen Ka Safar, they should get ready for something else."
