Governor approves 34 new degree colleges in Punjab

Notification issued for establishment of new public colleges in province

LAHORE: A total of 34 new government degree colleges will be established in Punjab for the upcoming academic year.

The governor has notified the establishment of the new public colleges in the province and the Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) issued a notification to this effect.



The notification also lists the newly-constituted colleges in the province. The notice said, “The Punjab Governor is pleased to approve the establishment of the following Degree colleges in Punjab with effect from Academic Session 2018-19.”



According to the list, the colleges include Government Degree College for Women Ellahbad District Kasur, Government Degree College for Women Bucheki District Nankana Sahib, Government Degree College for Boys Udowali District Gujranwala, Government Degree College for Women Sohdra Town Wazirabad District Gujranwala, Government Degree College for Women Delawar Cheema Wazirabad District Gujranwala, Government Degree College for Boys Arup District Gujranwala, Government Degree College for Boys Deona District Gujrat, Government Degree College for Boys Rukan Malikwal District Mandi Bahaudin, Government Degree College for Women Sattrah Tehsil Daska District Sialkot, Government Degree College for Women Marakiwal District Sialkot, Government Degree College for Boys Dhoke Syedain District Rawalpindi, Government Degree College for Boys Dhamyal District Rawalpindi, Government Degree College for Women Dhamyal District Rawalpindi, Government Degree College for Boys Tehsil Hassan Abdal District Attock, Government Degree College for Women Bhagwal District  Chakwal, Government Degree College for Women District Khushab, Government Degree College for Boys District Khushab, Government Degree College for Women District Bhakkar, Government Degree College for Boys Behal District Bhakkar, Government Degree College for Women Thal District Bhakkar, Government Degree College for Women Satiana Bunglow Jaranwala District Faisalabad, Government Degree College for Women Wariamwala District Jhang, Government Degree College for Women Ahmed Pur Sial District Jhang, Government Degree College for Women Satellite Town District Jhang, Government Degree College for Women Shorkot Cantt District Jhang, Government Degree College for Boys Lalian District Chiniot, Government Degree College for Women Pir Panja Lalian District Chiniot,  Government Degree College for Boys Kameer Town District Sahiwal, Government Degree College for Boys Okanwala Bangla Chichawatni District Sahiwal, Government Degree College for Women Karam Pur District Vehari, Government Degree College for Women Latifabad Haroonabad District Bahawalnagar, Government Degree College for Women Trandah Muhammad Pannah Liaquat Pur District Rahim Yar Khan, Government Degree College for Women Vehova District Dera Ghazi Khan and Government Degree College for Boys Kot Mithan District Rajanpur.
