KARACHI: During the past week, 12 girls’ schools in Diamer district were burned down by unknown militants. Perhaps it is the change of strategy of the militants who have now started targeting educational institutions in the already militancy-stricken northern regions of the country. Hence, the change of tactics demands a change of strategy from the country’s civilian and military leadership. It seems the militants are now nervous and in their nervousness they are once again targeting female education. They seem to be of the view that targeting female education would ultimately target the nation’s progress. So they are aiming at arresting the nation’s prosperity and progress.
