Ogra’s senior executive director finance Syed Jawwad Naseem told a press conference here that petrol price has been reduced by Rs6.04 per litre and that of diesel by Rs1.8 per litre.
With revised rates coming in force from June 1 (today), petrol will now sell at Rs69.04 per litre, down from Rs75.08. Likewise, high octane price is cut by Rs 7.15 per litre and now pegged at Rs 82.04, down from Rs89.19. High speed diesel price registered a fall of Rs 1.08 per litre. The product will now sell at Rs75.72 per litre, lower from the previously pegged rate of Rs 76.80. Similarly, light diesel price is down by Rs3.15 and fixed at Rs62.61 per litre. This compares with the previous rate of Rs65.76.
Kerosene oil price is lowered by Rs3.40, and fixed at Rs65.49 per litre, which is down from the previous rate of Rs68.89. Jet fuel known as JP-1 is now priced at Rs55.36 per litre, down from Rs58.46, reflecting a cut of Rs 3.10. JP-4 price is now fixed at Rs52.63, lower from Rs 55.54 it was selling previously, showing a reduction of Rs 2.91. Similarly, JP-8 witnessed a cut of Rs3.11, and is now priced at Rs55.08, down from Rs 58.19.
