It’s not same for all

Dir is the same district where in the previous general elections, women were barred from voting in line

QUETTA: Women are breaking taboos while leaping over the socially-imposed hindrances, and Sumera Shams, a young legislator from Dir district, is one such example. Dir is the same district where in the previous general elections, women were barred from voting in line with an arrangement among political parties contesting from the constituency.

However, during the polls of July 25th, women came out to cast their votes in great numbers, which marks the beginning of an era of female enfranchisement in the region. But not every other woman who aspires to join politics finds the going easy. Many often give up half way through their struggle.

Society at large should be appreciating of every woman who aims and aspires to make it for herself, rather than putting obstacles in her way.
