ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has refuted claims of a lavish oath-taking ceremony for Prime Minister-in-waiting Imran Khan where foreign celebrities would also be in attendance, according to a statement issued by the party on Thursday.

"There'll be a simple ceremony at the presidency and there is no truth into the media reports that foreign celebrities will also be a part of the ceremony," PTI leader Faisal Javed said.

"As we are the custodians of the tax-payers money, we want to have simple and austere ceremony completely national in its facade and essence," the communique reads.
